To log in and set up your Lorex Client 11 software: Launch the Lorex Client 11 software on your computer. In the IP Address field, enter the DDNS or local IP address of your DVR. Enter your User Name. Enter the Password. Enter the Client Port value (default: 9000).

I have Lorex surveillance system and have been using their Flir Cloud app to monitor my system when away from home.
After iOS 11 came out I installed it on my AT&T iPhone 6 and iPad Mini 4th gen and the app worked fine.
However, after purchasing an iPhone 8 and switching to Verizon the app stopped working. Same iOS the only thing different is the phone and carrier. It still works on my iPad Mini too.
The new update (11.0.1) did nothing either. It opens but then crashes as soon as the stream is about to show up. I contacted Lorex and they wouldn't even admit their app no longer works. I deleted it off my iPhone and downloaded it again from the app store and still nothing.
So my question is does anyone else with a Lorex surveillance system use another app to monitor their system?

  • Aug 11, 2018  Ok app This camera system works quite well. Good wife angle image and does great in low light. My issue is more with the app. When I open the app it goes to a main screen. I would rather it opens up immediately to my 4 camera feeds to watch instantly. I want to update my older 8-camera system with another Lorex but I hold back because of this.

  1. Launch the L-View Client software. It will automatically search for cameras connected to Local Area Network (LAN) and display each under the Auto Search List.

  2. Double-click your camera ID from the Auto Search List to connect the camera.

  3. Enter the camera administrator password, and then click OK to display the camera. Refer to your user manual for your default password.

    REMINDER: If this is the first time connecting to the camera, you will be prompted to change your password. Follow the steps and click OK.

  4. Double-click the camera ID under Auto Search List again and enter the password to connect to the camera.

You can also connect to your camera over the Internet from outside a local network.

  1. Launch the L-View Client software, right-click Camera List and select New Camera.

  2. Enter the following information:

    • Camera Name: Enter a name for the camera being used
    • ID: Enter the camera ID printed on the camera
    • Password: Enter the camera password.

  3. Click OK and Double-click the camera to display live video feed.

    REMINDER: If the camera has been previously connected, the camera image will display. If this is the first time connecting to the camera, L-View will prompt to create a password for the camera. In the New Password field, enter a password that will be used for the camera. Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password field and click OK.
